Details That Kansas City Home Sellers Should Review Before Leaving Their Home Each Day
Kansas City Real Estate Thoughts... Here is a quick list of things that I ask my homesellers to review daily when we have their home listed on the market. This isn't a pre-listing checklist, rather it is a list that seller's should consider each day before they walk out the door. Doing so will go a long way in impressing buyers. And remember, sometimes the most impressive things a seller can do are the things that a buyer DOESN'T notice: - Put all toys, magazines and books away.
- Make every bed in the home.
- Make sure dirty clothes are never in view.
- Vacuum every room in the home that gets used daily.
- Check that no light bulbs are burned out.
- Put away all daily use bathroom items such as toothpaste and hairdryers.
- Wipe down bathroom sinks and toilets.
- Put away all daily use kitchen items such as toasters and dishes.
- Leave nothing in the kitchen sink.
- Wipe down all kitchen countertops and sinks.
- Open every blind in the home.
- Sweep front sidewalks.
I make sure my family has done all of the following each and every day when we are selling. I know it's a lot of work to consider daily, but it's vital to obtaining top dollar when selling a home. It's so important that I do all of the above even when we are in a SELLER'S market. So you can bet that I do it in the buyer's market we're seeing right now. The difference between viewing a seller's home that has taken the above steps and one who hasn't is like night and day and doing so allows home buyers to get on to the items they really came to see.
